In addition to participating in our congregational services, our youth are encouraged to participate in summer camps, weekend retreats as well as church reunions and service projects.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
I Timothy 4:12
Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak; for I am a child.
But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
Be not afraid of their faces; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
Jeremiah 1:4-8
God is marshaling his army
For the rescue of his truth;
He is calling now to battle
Both the aged and the youth.
You can hear his mighty summons
In the thunder of his word;
Let us then be valiant soldiers
In the army of the Lord!
Let the watchman in the tower
Keep his post with sleepless eyes;
Let the private out on picket
Guard against the least surprise;
For the order is forever
To be ready at a word;
There must be no sleeping soldiers
In the army of the Lord!
‘Tis a war that calls for valor;
‘Tis a conflict with the world;
There can be no furlough granted;
Never must the flag be furled.
We can never cease the conflict
Till the summons home be heard;
We have all for life enlisted
In the army of the Lord.
